The Scorpions very first concert in Chicago was held at
ChicagoFest 1979 on Monday, August 6th, 1979 on the Rock Around The Dock floating
stage at Navy Pier. There has been a long standing
controversy as to the actual date of this concert, but
it was confirmed in the officially published 1979
ChicagoFest Schedule to have taken place on August 6th
and not August 10th as indicated in the YouTube video
below. I know for sure that this date is correct,
because I was there. Originally audio simulcast live on the
Loop 97.9 FM, it is available here and now for your
listening pleasure.
